Organizational Analysis is the most common case DataLink is being used. Importing org units, job positions, roles and employees from external systems and keep them synchronized. This “HR case” initiated the birth of the first generation of DataLink (named HR Link) which has been developed for this purpose many years ago.

 

How to improve business and IT collaboration? Model-To-Execute is the answer. Enables to translate high-level business requirements from ARIS models into a detailed, IT-oriented service model being executed within a specific case tools used by IT architects. DataLink integrates ARIS and the respective tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect or whatever IT staff is familiar with) to facilitate smart sharing of the wide range of data objects and relationships.

 

Organizational Analysis  

DataLink allows companies to exchange all organizational information automatically between their HR system and the ARIS repository. This is particularly valuable because such information is needed when creating business process descriptions (e.g., defining which organizational units and entities are responsible for the various steps in a business process).

User-friendly and easy-to-understand visualization of organizational structures is essential if companies are to properly communicate organizational issues to management and employees. Model-To-Execute

DataLink also provides “Model-To-Execute” capabilities but in more simply way. And most importantly - indenpendently on which tools IT users are working with.

 

The capability to exchange data between ARIS and the respective CASE tool preferred by IT (e.g. Enterprise Architect) provides great flexibility and independence.

Don’t let be limited by these examples. DataLink has no limitations with its opened architecture. All parts of DataLink (importers, formatters, configuration, settings and templates) are customizable via Software Development Kit.

Any special requirements? DataLink can be very quickly adapted and customized to fit your specific needs. Ask your DataLink vendor or do it yourself. This choice is only up to you. Get the SDK and customize an existing extension pack or develop amazing custom solution from the scratch by yourself. No one knows better than you how to do it.
